Troubleshooting
These checks are for users with an authorized development build. There is no public installer or public issue tracker yet.
Configuration or connection failure
Section titled “Configuration or connection failure”Check the error code, selected configuration file, endpoint and model alias. Configuration validation checks structure, not provider reachability. Confirm the external model engine is running and that the selected route permits its location and capabilities.
No models in chat
Section titled “No models in chat”Configure a provider and model alias first. LiteGate does not install user models or create fictional model entries. Check provider credentials in the desktop settings without copying secrets into logs.
The daemon exits or status cannot connect
Section titled “The daemon exits or status cannot connect”Unexpected exit is not normal gateway behavior. Inspect startup diagnostics, configuration and port conflicts. Confirm the CLI is querying the endpoint of the running daemon. A message that the status API is unimplemented indicates an older build; record its version.
Report to your development contact
Section titled “Report to your development contact”Include the build version, operating system, command, error code and reproduction steps through your existing authorized project channel. Remove keys, tokens, prompts and personal data. Do not post vulnerability details publicly. Public support instructions will accompany the release.
