Getting started

LiteGate is a native AI gateway and control center in development.

Before you begin

There is no public installer yet, and the source repository is currently private. The gateway, desktop, chat, Smart and LAN implementations are integrated, but final release validation is pending. These manuals describe the development product and its intended public experience, not an available public release.

Explore the product

• Product and status: capabilities, routing modes, privacy and delivery status.
• Clients and providers: external tools, engines and account access.
• Installation and updates: planned public packages.
• Configuration: development-build settings and TOML validation.
• Troubleshooting: checks for authorized development users.

For contributors with repository access

Use the repository’s pinned Rust toolchain and build instructions. From its root, cargo build --workspace builds the workspace. Configuration can be checked with:

cargo run -p litegate-cli -- config validate --config tests/fixtures/config/valid-phase1.toml

This validates an example file; it does not launch a provider or prove that a model is reachable. Public onboarding instructions will accompany validated installers.
